My heart faints within me!
We at Ironton Baptist Church believe worship to be the true sacrifice of committing ourselves wholly to the Lord. Our corporate worship is a primary part of that sacrifice, as well come together to join in to the song that we believe is already happening in his Throne Room. Members of the worship team (Choir, Band, and Tech) seek to create an environment and example of worship so that the most people can join in worship uninterrupted. Please, join us in worship!

Choir
Our choir seeks to give a 1-to-1 example of what it looks like to worship the Lord in a corporate worship setting. They are therefore a reflection of the congregation and are simply joy-filled worshippers of the Lord. The choir also meets on Sunday Evenings at 5PM in order to work on the music together, in order to ensure that they are able to focus on worshipping without restraint.

Praise Team
The Praise Team are members of the choir who wish to step forward and further help to lead worship. These are not soloists or performers, as we do not seek to be the center attention, but simply those who wish to do more to lead. As the Praise Team includes more responsibility, the Praise Team is expected to audition/ meet with the Music Minister before they are cleared to lead on stage.

The Band
Though our instruments may not resemble many biblical ones, instrumental worship has a long history of involvement in biblical worship and our worship services. At Ironton, we want you to come alongside us and worship with your instrument in the same ways as we desire people to lift their voices to the Lord.

Tech
The Tech team is an important part of ensuring that the backend of worship goes off without a hitch. They run the sound, slides, and live stream so that the experience of Worship is not interrupted. Their preparation leads to a polished worship experience, and, although their work goes often unseen, they are essential to the events of a Sunday morning.
